As
I'm sure you know, I did not make it into the top four and will not advance
to the general election. This campaign has been a tremendous learning
experience for me. I have met many wonderful people along the way. I would
like to thank all of the people who helped me with my campaign. I have
learned what true friends are during this process. I have learned to take
criticism with grace and dignity. I have learned that people in our
community really care -- and care enough to take the time to volunteer!
I would like to
especially thank the finance committe, the webmaster and all of Autowatch
for keeping my site up to date. Special thanks to the volunteers who said
yes every time I asked for help!
For all of you, my
husband, daughters and I say "THANK YOU!" You all have a permanent place in
our hearts and prayers!
One final thought -
my daughters are all competitive gymnasts. Our family rules for them are to
always try your best and to have fun. If we do those things, then we can
accept the results -- whatever they may be. I tried my best and had a
tremendous amount of fun!!! The people have spoken and I am accepting of
the results!
Thank you again!
Rebecca
p.s. to all of you who
attended the vote counting party, my glasses are on and my hair is in a
bun!!! I cannot be mistaken for someone too young to vote today!!!
